Ethnic Media Reporters Share Stories With Office of Surgeon General on Covid Misinformation

Information about how COVID-19 misinformation has impacted individuals and communities. The OSG is especially interested in learning about:

  • How COVID-19 misinformation has impacted organizations that serve communities directly through service (e.g., libraries and food banks), and community-based organizations that are faith-based or provide affinity to communities (e.g., clubs and sororities or fraternities).
  • How COVID-19 misinformation has impacted community members: individuals and families.

Each reporter will have four minutes to share a specific story/example followed by four minutes of Q&A. We will reserve the final 15-20 minutes for observations and further Q&A by all participants.

WHO:

  • Reporters from eight California ethnic media outlets
  • Moderator: Pilar Marrero, EMS associate editor
