Obesity and Social Microaggressions

By Celina Rodriguez, La Voz de la Comunidad

In this episode of La Voz de la Comunidad, hosted by Celina Rodríguez, we hear about common societal prejudices toward people who are obese and the harm this can cause to a person’s mental health. This can be especially difficult for immigrants already contending with the challenges of language, culture, and racism in a new society. We’ll hear from medical experts and psychologists, as well as from those who have experienced these prejudices firsthand. (Spanish only).
